I would like to locate the graves of two of my ancestors who died in Stephenson County when they were young children in the 1850's. Their names were William and Arthur PATTERSON sons of William and Elizabeth (Wissler) Patterson who lived in or near Freeport. Thank you for your time and assistance.

My query is regarding my great, great, grandfather Nathan SHEETZ. I know he married Catherine MARTIN in Stephenson Co. I believe his father was George SHEETZ but I have no proof. Would like to know as much information as I can about this person. Thank you.

I'm looking for record of the birth of Henry W. GRUTSCH in Freeport Ill in the year 1869. His fathers name was Peter. I don't know much about this family, other than they may have came from Germany in the mid 1800's and settled in northern Ill. Some of the descendants moved to Wis and Henry W moved to Michigan in the late 1800's. Any info on this family would be of great help

My gggrandfather and family came to Freeport IL some time around 1850 - 1860. His name is Gustave Auguste DOERR (DORR) and his wife is Helene Marie Therese. I believe that two children were born there: Joshephine Marie DOERR on 21 Nov 1856 and Isabelle Julia DOERR on 8 May 1860. I also think one or two children may have died there: Franklin Gaston DOERR on 21 Nov 1856 (yes, this conicides with his sisters birth date) and Charles Edward DOERR on 21 May 1853. I believe the family was of the protestant faith and came to IL from Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
I have no more than this to go on and regret that I don't know which township or if they lived in the city proper. He was a very learned man and his wife a seamstress. I would love to be able to verify these dates and learn about their life in IL before they came to MN.

I am looking for any information about Rev. Matthew PATTERSON. He wrote a biographical account of his father Rev. John Boyd PATTERSON for a Presbyterian article that I received from the Pres. Historical Society. He wrote this bio in 1872 from Freeport, Illinois. Any information about the Presbyterian Churches or Rev. Patterson would be appreciated and I will gladly share whatever I have about the PATTERSON family.
