Seeking obituary for and descendants of Vernena DOW HOOKER, the daughter of George W. DOW and Elmina VANDERHEYDEN. She was born April 1892, probably in Pearl City, and died at Cedarville in October 1982. She was the wife of Glen HOOKER. Their daughter Betty Jean HOOKER was born 5 November 1919 and died 28 February 1989 in Cedarville. Before her death, Vernena had apparently collected a great deal of information regarding the DOW family of Stockton, Jo Daviess Co. Any "cousins" out there?

KLOSTER - We are looking for John R KLOSTER, born in IL, possibly in Rock Run Township. He had married Jennie (Jane) Horr from MN (first wife), then he married her sister, Kate L HORR in 1902 in Wilmot, SD. He married Jennie about 1885 but we don't know where they were married. Who are John's parents, siblings, and did his family own land in Rock Run Township? And what is his death date and burial place? Any information is appreciated. Our e-mail address is: dvhenson@redshift.com
James joined the Masonic order while in Stephenson Co. He disappeared about 1879 and is next found on a marriage license in Livingston Co, MO using the name James Jessie (a name he used until shortly before he died in 1924 when he had gone back to his real name).
I would like information on what happened to the "first" family.
