Hello!
I am looking for information on ancestor DeWitt HOLTSAPPLE who lived near Dakota. He moved to Wisconsin in the 1870's from Perry County, Pennsylvania. I have corresponded with a relative in Monroe, WI who says a friend found Dewitt's gravestone in an unnamed cemetary near Dakota but I have no further information than that.
I'm interested in the dates, any inscription, and any other Holtsapple stones. I have an obituary from the Freeport Weekly Journal of April 20, 1904 which says services were held at 'the M.E. church' if that is of any assistance. I would greatly appreciate any information or leads you might have. The name may be spelled several ways. The obituary says 'HOLSAPPLE' but I know his parents spelled it 'HOLTSAPPLE'.
Thanks!

I am researching my maternal grandfather Clarence Joseph HUGHES, born in Freeport 6⁄30⁄1900. Married by grandmother Georgia ZAMRZLA in Chicago about 1926. He was a Millwright. Sketchy information I have is that his parents Mary and Michael Hughes were from Stockton (?) but this may be wrong.

My g-g-grandmother and her two daughters lived in Freeport. They were Wilhelmine TEYLER, Albertine (George) PRYOR, and Mary SCHULZ (OR SCHULZE OR SCHULTZ). I can find information on all but Mary, who lived there at the time of her mother's death in 1923. I would appreciate information on any of them and would like to establish contact with any family members.

I'm looking for family members by surname LERCH who resided in Freeport, IL in early to mid 1800s. Some family members moved to the Rockford area -- we are able to trace them back to Freeport in and before 1885. As far as we know, one family member remained on the family farm in Freeport by the name of "Lerch" after that time.
We're looking for William H. Lerch who may have died in Iowa Falls, IA around 1926 or thereafter. He lived in Freeport with at least 5 sons. All of them but one remained in the area. Their names were Charles W., Albert, Chester, Harold and Ralph LERCH.

I am trying to find a descendant or descendants of George W. EATON and Ann Gertrude SAMPLE Eaton. They left the State College (Centre Co.) area of PA some time after 1880. They moved to Freeport. They had a least one daughter who returned to PA on visits up until WWII. George had been involved in sawmills while in PA.
I am the great-granddaughter of George's older brother, John. I have inherited many unidentified photos and tintypes dating back to the 1860's. There are very few living relatives that can help in this indentification process. I am hoping that a lost family connection may be the key.
If any one can help, I would very grateful. My E-Mail is chornibroo@aol.com.
Thank you,
Carla S. Eaton Hornibrook
