I seek information on my great grandfather's early adulthood. Isaac KOSIER was born 1860 in Stephenson County, parents being Andrew KOS(I)ER and Rebecca PENTICOFF near Pearl City. Family stories suggest he left area for the Galena lead mines, before he went to Cherokee Iowa about 1890.

I am seeking information on my GGG Grandparents Daniel B. SHERMAN, who was probably born in 1804 and his wife Dorcas, born abt 1807. They had three sons, John, born abt 1838, Able, b 1847 and Abraham, b abt 1848. Able at some time moved to Kansas and married Francis EATON, b 2 May 1852 in Corbin, Whitley Co, KY. They moved to Boulder Co, CO and had 3 daughters, Mary Louise, b 4 Oct 1874, Delilah, b 1879  Alice, b. 25 Jan 1885. We do not know what happened to Daniel, Dorcas, John and Abraham. I would like to find out where they went and where Daniel and Dorcas are buried. Any information would be appreciated.

I am researching the COLLENS (CULLENS) name in Stephenson Co. James and Esther were in the area around the 1870's. They came from OH and moved into KS by the 1880's. I believe that James's mother Mary was also there would like to find out more about her.

I am searching for any information about Jacob and Eliza BOOP. They and their family moved to Stephenson Co in the early 1850's. At least one child was born there. Mary Arminda Boop, Feb 7, 1856. The family was in Nebraska by 1870. Jacob served in Co E. 45th Ill Vol Inf, 1864, 1865.

AMMERMANN Lubke Ammermann emigrated to America ca 1867 (b 1847 East Friesland GY), went first to German Valley IL then removed to Grundy Co IA where he married Caroline ROTTMEYER d⁄o Christian  Wilhelmina SEMPH (2nd sp Philip Wicks). Caroline emigrated ca 1854 from GY to Forreston, Ogle Co IL. Other Ammermanns same time frame in Grundy Co: Peter  wife (Dorothea Thorne d⁄o Henry) and Bersent Ammermann (wife Martha); all had Reform Church ties and believe all went to IL from GY then IA. Flora Rottmeyer d⁄o Christian married Henry C. PASSMORE Sr of Wisc; their son Henry Jr married Margaret Ammerman d⁄o Peter. Were these Ammermanns related  how? Gladly exchange any data. Stuck  appreciate any help!
